EPI - Three letters that became a part of my life forever! Katniss is a 3 year old Black G. Shepherd who is a BEAUTY to look upon! Until she became extremely ill and emaciated. We thought for sure we were going to lose her at a very early age, we tried everything we knew to do in order to save her but she kept getting worse. Dr. Kathi Benton said to me, "EPI", "I want to test her for EPI". Dr. Benton met me at her office on a day that her clinic was CLOSED in order to test Katniss for EPI speedily! Dr. Benton saved Katniss' life that day!! When there were not answers or tests to accurately diagnose the problem and why she was not improving, Dr. Benton knew what to look for!! Over one year now since Katniss was diagnosed with EPI and she is THRIVING at nearly 80 pounds! I do believe Katniss will live a Happy, Healthy, Energetic Life Full of Tennis Balls and Kisses!!
